Frame Relay

A Useful Tool

Frame Relay remains an important option for achieving data connectivity among multiple locations. It is designed to handle intermittent traffic between a WAN's end points and between LANs in a cost effective manner. Each location is connected to the carrier via a local loop, and connectivity among the locations is achieved within the carrier's 'frame cloud'. The customer sees a continuous, dedicated connection without having to pay for a full-time mileage-sensitive private line. While Frame Relay is most often used for data connectivity, it can also be used for voice connectivity in some circumstances.

Centralized Communication

Connectivity is reliable, relatively secure, and generally somewhat less expensive than multiple private lines. Frame Relay is often used in 'hub-and-spoke' applications in which multiple satellite locations must communicate with one or more central hubs. Typical applications involve remote locations sending data back and forth to a central data server.

Our Frame Relay Service utilizes Verizon and Qwest as underlying providers, so you know the quality of the service is high. In addition we provide first-rate 24/7 technical support and can provide the required equipment if desired.
